I was able to ‘rendezvous’ with some old Jackson friends on Sunday morning. We ascended Glory and skied little Tucks. It was definitely a pleasure to drop knees with some old tele buddies for the first time in a while. There was a thin layer of about 5” of new snow above a bit of crust. You could definitely feel the crust below your skis, but if you pushed hard enough into your turns, you could get a little faceshot of snow. Like any other spring conditions on the pass, the top was enjoyable and the bottom was miserable. I truly enjoyed the morning. We saw no one on the ascent up the ridge (compared to the day before and most days when there is always a gaggle of people). The only sole was an Italian, ironically named Fabiano. He ended up tagging along with us on the descent.
