Book Review: Indecision

I recently finished reading the book Indecision by Benjamin Kunkel. This is a great book. Jack Kerouac wrote Dharma Bums, a book that was on my high school summer reading list. Dharma Bums, like other Kerouac books, was a great snapshot of the individual’s perspective during a phenomenal epoch (I love that word). What Kerouac did was provide people with the first hand sensation of living during those times and the experience has resonated. I am not saying that Kunkel is a modern Kerouac. He did, however, create a prose that particularly depicts a period in time through the point of view of an individual within that time frame. Particular people within my generation, the generation that deals with terrorists, ADD, and a bit of a lack of direction, can certainly relate to this book. He captures the short lived stresses and joys that I encounter in life. I strongly recommend reading this book. The read is purposely laid out with short lived chapters for the person who struggles to keep a book in their hand. I look forward to reading more from him.

Thank you Justin for recommending this read.
