In honor of today’s Easter Holiday, three dudes ascended God’s Lawnmower in Big Cottonwood’s Backcountry. Seth, Myles, and myself decided to put off the spring sports to ascend Argenta for a ski. The conditions were certainly warm and full of spring hardship, not perfect for skiing, but it made for a great day. We ascended over 3000 vertical feet from the base of Big Cottonwood to the summit of Kessler (God’s Lawnmower). Ultimately, we skied some corned snow, but we had great time on the 7 hour jaunt.

Myles Sybley (Fairfield Prep’s Valedictorian 1996):
This was the brutal approach…It might be spring, if your skis and boots get muddy. We had to take our skis off and hike three separate times.
