I was able to spend the Fourth of July with my two best friends from growing up, Karl the Cannonman and Paul the Professor. The twins have since made Boulder their residence. They are both in school, one in grad school and the other in under-grad. We spent a few days rummaging around the greater Denver area. The highlight was a Rockies game on the Fourth. It was my first sports outting since the jazz took down the Wizards and my first baseball game since 2004. The Rockies took down the Mets in a long game. Afterwards, we enjoyed the fireworks. The next day, I was in Des Moines Iowa.
