Hit the streets backpack

Being that I now reside in the urban platform, there are two backpacks that I rock on a constant basis. I figured that I had to give props to them both. I ride the L to work everyday and you never know what the weather is going to be like when I emerge from the underground. It tends to rain at random in Chicago. So, I need to pack my rain jacket and book in my bag pretty much everyday. I also need something that is ipod compatible. My Ogio Metro gets the job done. Its casual enough, so I don’t look like a tool and enough people at the work place rock Ogio, so its formal enough for the office.

My other urban weapon of choice is the Camelbak HAWG. The Hawg is what I take to work on the days that I am going to run from the office home. I try and run home, about 5 miles at least once a week from work. This bag is perfect for that. It fits well to the body, so that even after a long drenched run there is no chaffing and rashes. Sounder weird, but I have worn other fanny packs and they leave me uncomfortable for a few days after the run. Check out the hawg, it still has urban capabilities, even though it may be meant for the backcountry. And it has the perfect iPod sleeve as well.
