Bri Gault came into town a few weeks ago for the Greenbuild expo. We had a great week playing on the streets of Chicago. We were able to hit up the Field Museum after a long bike ride there and back. And we did the typical tourist jaunt, an Architecture tour via boat. The highlight of this was seeing the construction site for the Santiago Calatrava Spire that is being built now. It is at the mouth of the Chicago river and it will certainly be a spectacle. Link to image. The spire will rotate 2 degrees with every floor, essentially giving it the look of a drill bit. Calatrava is an infamous architect with projects all over the world.
