The Canyons’ Backcountry

Bri Gault finally came to visit me in Utah, only that whole Chicago thing makes it a little delayed. We were able to rally and gets some overdue turns in the Wasatch. Backcountry.com’s Dustin brought us into Big Cottonwood Canyon from the gates at 9990. We skied three runs on a peak in Bear Trap. And then skinned back up in the dark. We made it to Tombstone lift by 6 pm, after skiing sketchy Dutch’s Draw nearly in the dark. Tombstone was closed and we had to get picked up.  I must admit the a bivouac had definitely crossed my mind at a certain point. It was fun.
