Russian & Turkish Baths

Friday evening wasn’t that eventful of a night. Needless to say, I hung out with an old buddy from high school and engulfed a few “toxins.” In an effort to purify myself in general, I went to the Division Street Russian and Turkish Baths. Leaving all homophobia aside, this experience was certainly something that is hard to explain. I have tried to explain what goes on in the basement of this facility, but it has failed a few times now and people are questioning my sexuality. Rather then trying to write it out again, I will admit that it was one of the most healthy things that I have done in a while, besides exercise. Somehow, I spent 3 hours here. The funny part of the story is the deep tissue massage that I received from Jose. Never in my life have I had a masseuse fall asleep on me, but it happened. Jose fell asleep while giving me a head massage. I thought that it was all apart of the massage, as he was getting slower and slower, until I heard him snore. It was quite a funny moment. Ultimately, exposing yourself to these elements of dramatic hot and cold surroundings can help to rid the body of toxins… its all descirbed here: Sauna & Health.
