ECBC Day 2: Bolton Valley Backcountry

Easter Sunday; we all gave the necessary phone calls home to check in with the family. After this, we paid for a one lift ride at Bolton Valley for $10. Bolton Valley has no connection to Micheal Bolton. It is a small resort near Burlington. To the looker’s left of the mountain and over its shoulder is a superb source for some ECBC (East Coast Backcountry). We skinned the ridge line to the Stowe View Chutes. Aptly named, we could see the lines from the day before. The backside of the resort hosts part of the Catamount Trail. We spent the day touring in this valley. The Glade skiing was certainly not unique for the area. Every track was fresh and it was a superb day of skiing.
